I had my programmer’s hat on the other day and I accidentally developed some technology for generating stereoscopic images from flat photographs. I thought I’d test it out by creating some 3D images from some pictures I had lying around my hard drive, in this case that some silicon dolls from the "research" I did for my last post.
This is how you look at a stereoscopic image:
* Make sure you’re head is at least 3-4 feet from your monitor.
* Train your eye to the center of the picture.
* Cross your eyes.
* When the two images merge they will appear as a single 3D image.

You can imagine the strain on my eyes I had when I was testing the program. Luckily it didn’t take that many tries to get it to work. I saw double for a while.

This is awesome!!! If you got your program together with the porn industry, you’d make millions [okay, billions], cuz there’s a lot of lonely & horny people out there waiting for someone to figure out a way to make [internet] porn more realistic. And, I think you’ve got the ticket, right on your hard drive; a way to make tits that look like you could almost reach out and touch them. I wonder if your tech could be applied to streaming videos? 3-D Porn… I can’t wait. Of course, having to have 2 images side by side may cause a sizing problem for those who don’t have the newer widescreens.
Have you tried it on art yet? Or does it not work that way… I have no idea….
I haven’t worked on this for a while but maybe I should pick it back up and make something proper.
I’ve wanted to experiment with anaglyphs (y’know the kind that require blue/red 3D glasses) but I can’t find any glasses anywhere? I’ve looked all over but the only sites that sell them do so by the hundreds.
