31 JanHentai foundry rejections

Hentai-foundry.com is a site where people can post their home-made smut, kind of like DeviantArt. There’s an approval board of artists whose purpose is to filter out all the really bad art and art thefts before they’re posted on the site. As a member of that board I get to see some of the most amazing work that everyday people create and submit. Unfortunately I can’t approve them due to the standard rules of HF, but I’m going to give them a second chance by posting a few of them here.

None of the following artworks have been altered in any way, except for rescaling them to fit this website.
Warning: Nudity after the break.

This sexy indian girl should make any boy’s legs turn into noodles. Her sexy stare have the ability to stab your heart like the harpoon of a lonely fisherman.

thumb.jpg

A true artist would never crop his art. In this case the white emptyness surrounding this sexy wolfman stands for all the horrible empty things that fill our lives. Like milk cartons.

thumbcaj3244t.jpg

Crayons have always been a neglected medium in art, but this piece reminds us of our drawing roots. As with the previous piece this one also embrases the symbolism of not cropping one’s art.

20471.jpg

This piece is a lovely representation of a story of a poor censored man, his blind dog and a levitating penis. It’s a sad retelling of what makes all of us human but with a happy ending.

20469.jpg

This piece is an amazing combination between hentai and post-modern abstract art. In it’s original size it brings tears to my eyes.

This is an excellent example of an artist who dares to think outside the anatomical box that many artists reside within. A retelling of the anatomy that makes us human, one might say.

20634.jpg

Speaking of anatomy. Why bother with boring parts like arms, legs and heads when you can just skip to the good parts!? Amazing work! The lone pixel in the bottom right corner should speak to the lonely person inside all of us.

21593.jpg

Traditional japanese art have a special place in a lot of artists’ hearts. This one is no different. In this scene we see a beautiful geisha doing her best to run away from an approaching fire (probably a symbol of life and fear of life) on her broken legs while carrying two heavy spheres. It hurts to watch.

21647.jpg

Now here’s something that kids can enjoy. Your favourite pokemans playing with water and what appears to be a Toyota Corolla. Fun for the whole family!

21571.jpg

I can’t see if the artist was going for abstractism or pointism, but it’s obvious he wanted us to use our own imaginations for once. Very modern piece.

20624.jpg

Lastly, this is one of my favourites. It’s eerily reminiscent of something I’ve seen before, but I can’t really put my finger on it. Maybe the invisible penis she’s licking is a metaphore for life.. or our fear of making commitments.

I hope you enjoyed this little tour of the wonderful art submitted every day to Hentai-Foundry.com. There’s are but a small selection of an iceberg of homebrew art and I hope to show more of them at a later date.

(Oh and don’t forget to laugh)

lol, methinks you aren’t being entirely serious.

    Ahaha, you’re mean. Bwahahaha.

My monocle popped out and into my martini glass!

  5. gust says:

    You’re terrible. ;)

  6. bs says:

You’re a pretty cruel bastard, fyi.

P.S. I mean that in the “you’re a fucking dick” way and not the cute way the other people seem to be taking this.

  7. SinFTW says:

That’s fine. I can live with that. I don’t expect everyone to share my sense of humor. Was any of these fine drawings made by you? If so I could remove it. Or feature it.

  8. bs says:

No, I have never submitted any of my stuff to HF as I didn’t know it existed until a week or so ago. After reading the ridiculous “constructive crit” forum (complete with “hey turn that giraffe girl into a realistic looking weird amalgam of styles thing instead of using the show’s official style and we will allow it” topics) I had my doubts, and after “reading” this I now know I never will!

Mocking art is fine, but being in a position where you can allow or deny the rights of people to express themselves (albeit on just one website, thankfully, but after reading the crits (and especially if they see places like this) it’s likely their motivation will shoot right out the window) AND being this much of a jerk is just not, really.

Or maybe I just don’t share your sense of humour, who knows.

  9. SinFTW says:

First of all. I don’t care if people can’t take criticism. That’s not my problem.

Second, Hentai-foundry is not deviantArt. The space is limited and it would quickly fill up if everyone could submit their napkin drawings (and believe me, they do). I know the dark humor of this post could potentially hit too close to home for some readers but I wanted to make an important point as to why there is an approval system in the first place.

As a member of the approval board I’ve seen some weeeeeird shit. Like, really fucked up stuff! It’s easy to lose all faith in humanity after seeing how some people choose to “express themselves”.

Besides. These “artists” are most likely minors anyways (considering they can’t be adult about anything in the forums), with no business what-so-ever on an adult site.

  10. bs says:

Haha, it’s funny you’d anti-compare yourself to DA, because that is by far the site you are most similar to :D .

Regardless, it’s still a stupid system. Rejecting shit is fine, I agree that most of it is crap, but some of the stuff you reject is rejected for style reasons which is ridiculous. Of course the anatomy isn’t going to be correct on giraffe girls or gargoyles, they’re fucking cartoons and that’s what they look like in the show. If you aren’t going for toony stuff and are going for more humanesque (and probably what you’d called “mature”) art, then you should say so on the front page so people don’t waste their time.

Regardless x2, this isn’t about you rejecting stuff, it’s about you being a dick here and being one of the people in CHARGE of rejecting stuff. Dicks in charge of a site make a dicky site. You have blatant unwarned trolling going on in your crit forum, and any complaints appear to fall on deaf ears. Now I’ve read this, I’m not surprised.

Oh well, you obviously don’t care, and I doubt any of the people who read this will agree with me (seriously, all prior comments were amazingly cock-sucking) so I’ll quit here. Enjoy your high quality toon smut porn!

  11. SinFTW says:

You’re right. I don’t care. If you really feel the need to vent, then vent. I don’t care much for being called a dick but seeing you know nothing about me nor my approval policies I don’t think I need to take that one to heart. There’s nothing I can do to the people that gets rejected except tell them to work harder and practice. A lot of them seem to take that as some kind of offense. Again, that’s not my problem.

  12. madminifig says:

Ah ha ha ha, i made the last one i feel embarrassed now,i was practicing using references and saved that in my pictures, shortly after that i remember my friend coming on the computer,he must of submitted it when he was looking on hentai foundry and found it in my pictures, ill save it in a secret place or just not let my friend on next time, sorry about that LOL.I do share your sense of humor but i was shocked finding that there : O.Keep it there if you want i don’t really care.

  13. SinFTW says:

Hehe. It made me lol. Not that it’s terribly bad, but because HF has rules against tracing and I could instantly spot it as a trace/redraw of one of my own drawings. I couldn’t approve it, but I made sure to save it before rejecting it :p

  14. madminifig says:

lol I would of done the same.

  15. Soulsemmer says:

Wait, wow. Some guy just actually went off on you? And I missed it? DAMN IT ALL!

I have to say I appreciate the rejection system. A lot of the stuff I see as it is I wouldn’t like to have on there, being of the quality it is, but I’m not one of the people who admits the art!

Regardless, after seeing this, I’ve come to realize that even the pictures I find to be of sub-par quality are acceptable to some of the crap you must have to deal with. And thus, good sir, I salute you.

Now get back in the kitchen! I want more art from you! *Whip crack*

  16. SinFTW says:

    Eep! *runs around aimlessly*

  17. Purrversion says:

…Heh heh heh, this entry is the best thing to wake up to ever.

  18. Purrversion says:

I would like to emphasize that if this were about any OTHER art site on the internet where “We have a certain quality filter you need to meet” wasn’t thrown in one’s face left and right, this would be a totally dick move Sin. *grins* But, unfortunately for runts like BS, it does say all of that and more and these are a lot of the cases that blatantly ignore that rather important fact. I like yor post. Unlike those that can’t quite make it yet (and shouldn’t be trying to HERE at HF if they’re still at the drawing board), this kinda post is a bit of relief for some of my friends (what with some of the crud that seems to have made it to auto approval way back in the day.).

  19. SinFTW says:

Well it has never been about separating the good from the bad. We just want the stuff posted on HF to be “fappable”, to be blunt. That in combination with people posting stolen art is the reason there’s an approval board.

I find these drawings funny because they’re not just bad, they’re laughably terrible (except the last one which is a trace). I think it’s okay to poke a little fun at these artists as long as they’re kept anonymous. If I hurt their feelings they could use a reality check.

  20. Reashi says:

hmmm this HF intrigues me as i have been drawing some stuff D:

  21. MK says:

Oh god this blog is amazing. XD
If it were me approving pictures for HF I’d do exactly the same thing here. :D Though I’d make the mistake of doing it on a much larger scale. :p Lucky I guess, that I’m not the one approving pictures.

  22. thomas says:

lol. i dont know whats more amusing; the pics, your interpretation of the pics or your little back and forth with bs :3

  23. Dave the Brave says:

Now THIS I can wank to.

  24. gust says:

And even with the approval system, there’s STILL some crap posted that makes me lose faith in humanity.

  25. SinFTW says:

Yeah. It’s funny how we’re damned if we do and damned if we don’t. Recently some the more experienced artists have spoken out against the low quality.
There are some artists that has gotten just enough “good-enoughs” through for the system to put them on auto-approval, which means they’ll circumvent our eyes entirely. Lately we’ve been reverting the auto-approval status for those we think needs more time.

  26. Purrversion says:

Just wish they’d get something in place for the stories. I kinda feel like they’re undervalued, but can hardly blame them since every 8 year old can post two lines and then claim they’ve put up a new story right now. I just hate being lumped in with that crap. >.

  27. SinFTW says:

Yeah. HF isn’t really suited for stories and I get the sense it’s more of an afterthought. Personally I’m no author and even if I were I doubt I’d want to read through all of the story submissions and rate them.

  28. Jer says:

Did any of these talented artists say what kind of commission price they’re asking?

I was going to think that last one was on the mean side, except you mentioned it was a trace.

  29. SinFTW says:

Clarification: A trace of one of MY drawings sent to ME on a site that doesn’t allows art theft and traces ;D

  30. Tomas K./Mastercleric/Masterwriter/masterwriter42 says:

Wow. I agree with you on several of those, and wonder why the Japanese woman one, and the last one – with the invisible male anatomy or assumption therein – didn’t make it through. Ah, next time you post a message like this one, could you maybe list what, specifically, it was that disqualified it? Well, obviously some of these would be disqualified, though I’m sure work was put into them. Anyhoo, I’ll just go back to wandering around while dancing like a robot or something.

    Respectfully yours,
    TK/MC/MW/MW42

  31. SinFTW says:

Like I said in one of the comments, the last one is a trace of one of my drawings. See if you can find it in my gallery.

  32. Kohdok says:

Wow, this is great. We need to make a continuous list of this crap somewhere if we can.

    I can see it now:

    “hf_rejects.com”

That argument you had earlier should be on the front page.

  33. Kyhin says:

Tomas, you can’t tell what’s wrong with the Azula (Japanese woman) image? Hate to be an ass, but all I can say is “wow…”.
